What is Vois?
An iPhone app that reads articles aloud in a natural voice. The voice is generated on the iPhone itself, so it works offline and what you read stays on your device.
Is Vois free?
Yes. Saving and listening are free, with no limits and no account. Vois Pro is optional.
What does Vois Pro add?
Voice Studio without limits (type anything and hear it in any voice, at any length, and export clips as audio), plus listening to files, photos and document scans. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and Family Sharing is included.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once an article's speech is ready, it plays without a connection. Vois prepares new articles in the background, and overnight while your iPhone charges.
How do I save from Safari?
Tap Share, then Save to Vois. Or turn on the Vois Safari extension in Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions, then choose Vois from the page menu in the address bar.
Which languages does it read?
English, plus 30 more with the multilingual voices, including Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Vietnamese. The multilingual voices are a one-time download.
What does Apple Intelligence do in Vois?
On iPhones and iPads that support Apple Intelligence, Vois uses Apple's on-device model to clean up each saved article. It removes leftover page clutter, like newsletter prompts, related links, author bios, share and comment prompts, photo credits and ads, so you hear only the article. It never rewrites the article's words, and it runs entirely on your device. It works on iPhone 15 Pro and later, and iPad with M1 or later or A17 Pro.
